The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform was established to support Australia and Pacific partners as they continue working together to build a stable, prosperous and secure region.
We facilitate Australian and Pacific partner access to services, resources and expertise. We provide ‘on-demand’ services to our partners, and are flexible and responsive to emerging needs and requests for support.
While we cannot predict what future demand will be, activities delivered to date include:
The design of a bilateral economic governance program.
The recruitment and placement of personnel to work with, or within, Pacific partner agencies on short or longer-term arrangements.
Project management, technical advice and research and evaluation support.
To date, we have facilitated partnerships in the following areas:
Health
Infrastructure
Public Financial Management
Gender
Education
Governance
Customs
Environmental
Monitoring and Evaluation
Planning
Climate Change
Mineral resources
Public Utilities
