The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform
The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform works with partners to provide a suite of flexible, fit-for-purpose services that support development investments in governance, stability and resilience in the region.
Services can include recruitment, procurement, grants, monitoring and evaluation, research and training, advisory support, and program design and management. Our partners identify the areas in which this support is required, and these can include climate change, strengthening public financial management systems, infrastructure, governance, economic growth and social inclusion.
The Pacific canoe was the inspiration for our logo. The canoe is a symbol of resilience and unity. Used in ancient voyages, it represents navigation, new horizons and hopeful futures. The sails of the canoe represent partners working together, voyaging together as peoples of the Pacific, held together by the canoe. These values of unity, respect, partnership and strength underpin the Australian-Pacific Partnerships Platform

The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform is focused on partnerships with countries in the North Pacific. In Nauru, Kiribati and Tuvalu, we are supporting Australian-funded development initiatives and bilateral development priorities, while our on-demand services are available to all countries in the region.
The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform recruits, deploys and supports individuals with the expertise requested by Pacific partner governments. We actively seek candidates with diverse experience and backgrounds and we encourage Pacific Islanders, First Nations people, LGBTQIA+, women, gender diverse and people living with disabilities to apply.
The Partnerships Platform Support Unit is a diverse team of individuals with the skills and expertise to provide advice, implementation and operational support to DFAT and Pacific partners. Located in Australia and across the Pacific, the Support Unit also strengthens partnerships by facilitating connections and knowledge exchange and is set up to respond to individual country requests.
The Support Unit is backstopped by a pool of technical advisers in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, gender equality, inclusion, gender-responsive budgeting, public finance management and communications.
The Australia-Pacific Partnerships Platform is supported by the Australian Government and implemented by DT Global.
